Good wireless MIC system

The BOYA BY-XM6-S2 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System has a listed operating range of 100 meters, 7 hour battery life, and has type-C charging. The set that I received comes with 2x transmitter and 1x receiver and they operate on the 2.4 GHz frequency. There are several cables that are included, such as 3.5mm to 3.5mm, USB-A to USB-C, USB-C to USB-C, 3.5mm microphones, alligator clips and wind covers. The TX and RX have OLED displays that show battery life, signal strength and gain, etc.To work with my Android phone I needed to buy a female 3.5mm to male USB-C adapter. I tested and used the TX and RX system for quite some time, getting mixed results. The good results were crystal clear from a few feet away to 75 feet away. The bad results included a constant noise to the audio. I couldn't quite determine what it was. I settled on the fact that it must be the adapter mentioned above. So my assessment is on the good results I got. I used both the wired MIC extension and the TX unit directly, both with and without wind covers. The results were excellent and the sound quality very good. This is not my primary MIC system due to the noise issue that's been intermittent for me, but the system overall is very good based on my testing. I'd definitely recommend it. 4/5 stars.

These Wireless Mics are distinctly clear and interference free with a high dynamic range.Everything about this system is outstanding. Everything you'd need to hook them up is included in the box.The transmitters (TX) and receivers (RX) can be charged either directly with a USB-C cable, or you can charge the case, and drop them in the case to charge. Either way, they charge fast and last for 7 hours.Charging the case gives you a handy way to charge in the field.Included are two foam windscreens, you push on to the clip-on lapel mics. There is also two of what I've heard people refer to as a "dead cat" and these clip directly onto the built-in mics on the TX shell if you use the internal mics. Great for blustery days.I did not notice any difference between the built-in mics and the label mics. They are both very high quality omnidirectional mics. Omnidirectional Mics seems to pick up cleanly with no overloading from loud noises. Suggests just leave the volume alone at its default 5 and make any changes on the RX side. They have Adaptive frequency hopping and so any other mics in the area will not interfere with your connections. There is undetectable latency for voice work. The OLED displays are clear and bright and easy to read. They give obvious indications of battery condition, levels, and connection status. Mute with short press of power button on TX and the display will show it is muted.Pairing is simple and accurate, there is nothing tricky about it.Construction is sturdy, fit, and finish is superb.Overall, one great wireless system, clean TX and RX reception, no interference, well-built, long battery life, quick charging, simple operation. Small and lightweight TX and RX modules. One surprising feature for me is the 2-year warranty. I see so many much electronics that either doesn't say what the warranty is, or only give you 90 days. It's good to see when a manufacturer stands behind their product with a strong warranty.

Item: BOYA Compact Mdl. BY-XM6 K2 Wireless Mic SetPrice: $200.00 at time of review 12 10 22ABOUT THIS ITEM…..Owning a number of Amazon sourced wireless microphone sets, I tend to categorize them as budget, advanced-budget or prosumer. I’ve found that with most of the prosumer wireless mic systems I have, their performance is adequate for my personal and my business-supporting videos. In my opinion, this Boya Mdl. BY-XM6 K2 wireless mic set is definitely at the prosumer level.WHAT YOU GET…..Consistent with a more complete prosumer wireless mic set, you’ll find…• Two compact transmitters (Tx) and One compact receiver (Rx)• Hard plastic ‘Storage and Charging’ case with 4-LED battery status display• Cables: TRS to TRS for DSLR/Cameras & TRS to TRRS for Cells/Laptop recordings• 2x Lapel Mics to plug into your transmitters w-2x lapel clips & 2x foam percussive-filters• 2x ‘Rabbit’s Foot’ (wind filters/snap-on) for your transmitters if not using lapel mics• Nice fabric carrying-satchel for all the accessories above with room to spare• Manufacturer’s 2-year WarrantyFEATURES & BENEFITS…..(things that stood out for me)Two transmitters allow for multiple subject interviews and inclusion of ambient audio || Hard case with internal battery can charge independent of power; longer recording sessions || Transmitters can be used without lapel mics for wire-free attachment || Manufacturer’s 2-yr warranty included; most others require extended coverage ||TESTING THE ITEM…..Interior Environment: Using my A6400 for video-recording, the results and audio was good. My daily use wireless system has a bit more treble. But if not a side by side comparison, I’d say this would pass a very good given its mello mid-range voice audio. Overall, interior use was very good. Pairing was immediate and the ability to adjust the audio gain at the Tx and Rx was very helpful.Outdoor Environment: In my video, you'll see my distance and audio quality test in a sports park area. Results were very good for audio quality. And for distance, at true 'line of sight' I'm pretty sure this system could transmit the distance of a football field; 300-feet. Having the lapel mic clipped to the chest, when turning my back to the camera and receiver, audio dropped out rather quickly at 50-feet or so.PRICE-POINT, VALUE & OVERALL OPINION…..Currently on the vendor’s Amazon page, I found a fair assortment of similar double-Tx’er sets. Interestingly, and at the current Boya price point for the BY-XM6 K2, I found that those sets that were slightly less in cost also showed a lower transmit-to-receiver distance, or a missing feature found in the Boya. This Boya set has what I believe are similar design features I’ve reviewed in other Boya system configurations. And all of those units tested well, which gave me greater confidence in my positive opinion of how this Boya system tested. As with many prosumer wireless systems, I’m more swayed by my confidence in the brand and experience with both the review-item and similar systems with which I’m familiar. Given that and the current and very appropriate price point, I felt this Boya system presented a very-good value; worth 5-stars.

Boya is one to watch!! Impressive mics

The Dual Wireless Microphone, BOYA by-XM6 K2 with Charging Case Professional Lapel Mic with 1 Receiver and 2 Transmitters for Cameras Camcorders Smartphones Vlog YouTube TikTok Live Stream Video Recording: This is a pro wireless dual lavalier microphone system with 1/8" output for cameras, and a 3 ring cable for phones, tablets and computers. There is also a headphone output. These are excellent mics. very clean, clear and loud. the sound is fantastic. They just work. This version also comes with a charging case that holds additional charges for the system as well as charging them in the case. There are two lapel mics with pop filters, or you can just use the mics built into the transmitters, there are windscreens for that if needed. In addition to the charging case for the transmitters and receivers. There is also an accessories pouch for the lapel mics, windscreens and cords. A nice touch that isn't always included from other brands. The nuts and bolts are the same as the other brands you can record dual mono or stereo. The noise reduction on these is really great. It won't try to suppress all the background noise, and I don't hear any pulsing, but it does a great job of separating the subject from the background, as they should. You really don't want overly aggressive noise reduction. There is also an app for iOS and android that does a great job of recording both audio as well as video. very nice total package. The build quality is really good and I love the OLED screens. I have tried several brands, and these are some of the better ones at this price range, and above, they punch above their weight. I would put these on par with big name brands we all know and love. I am very picky about microphones and these work and sound great. I recommend for pro video work, youtubers, content creators, streamers, business, and conventions as well as anyone that needs a solid pro lav system with an 1/8" output. I am very happy with this system, and I feel great giving these a high recommendation.
