Solid Mic with Room for Improvement

Decent Quality The BOYA MM1W shotgun mic gets the job done, and the quality is pretty decent for its price. I was able to clean up some background noise from an interview during post-production, so it’s workable if you have the tools to refine the audio.Easy Installation and Extras Installation was a breeze, and I really appreciated that it came with a dead cat for outdoor use. It’s a nice touch, especially at this price point.Sound Performance The gain is just okay, and the noise floor is acceptable but not amazing. It’s not a professional-grade mic, but for vlogging, live streaming, or casual interviews, it performs well enough.

Not really a shotgun mic

I can see how the listing can be confusing, but you get one cardioid Mike that’s mountable on a camera and a Lavalier piece. Can use them both at the same time, but you only get a single output. And as it is hard to balance these two different microphones, I would recommend using either orSound isn’t terrible, but it’s pretty much commensurate with the cost. You’re not going to get real high-end audio here. I am not sure this would be sufficient for making high-quality YouTube videos. This company makes much better microphones, but it’s gonna cost you more.Still pretty fair value for the price although I’m not sure what the exact use cases for having the dual microphones the way they do.

Decent microphone

This is a decent shotgun microphone that pics up sound in the direction that the microphone is directed. It comes with the required cables for both TRS and TRRS input and works both wired and with 2.4 Ghz. I prefer to use the wired connections for music and the wireless for voice. It's not that i detect a significant difference in sound quality between the wired and wireless but just my old superstitions about wireless connections. Wireless connections occur without issues and are maintained without disruptions. Initial impressions are that his is a decent microphone.
