BY-GM18CU Desktop Gooseneck Condenser Conference Microphone

Simple- Excellent. Wanted an easy to use, flexible, high quality sound mic with a solid base for use on different podiums and the BOYA delivered on all fronts. The condenser mic is one of the very best I've ever used, and I've used a lot. Can't beat it at this price point! I bought and tested several in this price range and this one was hands down the best. It breaks down and stores in its' box easily / nicely. Battery life is good, but be sure to always carry extras! It will not slip off podiums. It has a simple lighted on-off button. I have run with various PA speakers and it works great. I waited to write this review for 6 months and all is still excellent. In fact I think after seeing it in action a number of other people have purchased as well.

While perhaps not professional quality if you're into voice acting, this microphone nonetheless does the job of being a decent microphone! I lent it to my nephew for discord chats with his friends while they're playing Minecraft and other types of PC games. He claims it does very well in this role and he has no complaints. The gooseneck is easy to maneuver and the microphone base is heavy for balance; the whole device can be made pretty small for storage. This microphone is a great choice for gaming or discord, certainly. Recommended!

This is a great alternative to headsets for gaming, and honestly, a decent choice to replace a big microphone on your desk for non-professional applications. I'd use this mic for anything short of voice acting or other professional situations where a larger diaphragm is needed to capture more of the voice range. For everyday use, this is going to be hard to beat. Oh, and that mute button is super convenient.

This microphone is great for general use. I use it for Zoom calls for work and general audio input for speech recognition. definitely better than wearing headphones just for the microphone feature! However, the mic is very sensitive, so be careful of its placement on your desktop. Any bumping, shuffling, or wind noise from fans, etc. will be picked up and become annoying, so take advantage of the mute button! LOL!All-in-all, a great mic for all around audio input.

I needed an external microphone to use to record voice overs on videos. This fit the bill well. The only reason for a 4 versus a 5 rating overall and in material quality was that the gooseneck arm would bend to where you wanted it and then slowly bend back a bit to where it was previously. It would be nice to not have to over bend it to compensate or have to keep adjusting it. The sound quality was very good.
