The BOYA BY-XM6-S2 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System has a listed operating range of 100 meters, 7 hour battery life, and has type-C charging. The set that I received comes with 2x transmitter and 1x receiver and they operate on the 2.4 GHz frequency. There are several cables that are included, such as 3.5mm to 3.5mm, USB-A to USB-C, USB-C to USB-C, 3.5mm microphones, alligator clips and wind covers. The TX and RX have OLED displays that show battery life, signal strength and gain, etc.To work with my Android phone I needed to buy a female 3.5mm to male USB-C adapter. I tested and used the TX and RX system for quite some time, getting mixed results. The good results were crystal clear from a few feet away to 75 feet away. The bad results included a constant noise to the audio. I couldn't quite determine what it was. I settled on the fact that it must be the adapter mentioned above. So my assessment is on the good results I got. I used both the wired MIC extension and the TX unit directly, both with and without wind covers. The results were excellent and the sound quality very good.This is not my primary MIC system due to the noise issue that's been intermittent for me, but the system overall is very good based on my testing. I'd definitely recommend it. 4/5 stars.

I received the BOYA-XM6-S4 system: the S4 means it comes with Apple Lightning connector.It consists of 2 transmitters (BY-XM6 TX) and 1 receiver (BY-XM6 RXD).The transmitters have a built-in mic (120dB SPL; and a sensitivity of -39 dB) and support an included wired Lavalier mic 3.5mm (110dB SPL; and a sensitivity of -39 dB) or other 3.5mm TRS mics.The SNR is >84dB which is a good value. Everything above 80dB seems good to me.My transmitters came 50% charged and when turned on they were already factory paired with the receiver, at least I did not have to initiate the pairing function. I charged the transmitters for further testing, but essentially, I was ready to go right from the start. No setup effort, and I kept all default settings.My tests are not scientific measures, I just do my best to test and judge the abilities of the mic.The operation distance is under optimal circumstances, meaning no obstacles, 328ft or 100m -- I tested it and have reached approximately that distance on an open field. In my house I moved between rooms, into the garage and car, and out into the yard while the receiver stayed stationary at my desk.The sound quality has never changed.It is an omnidirectional mic and I tested it by talking into the top, bottom, and sides (meaning I rotated the mic while talking), and I couldn't notice a difference.The typical microphone test phrases delivered a good and clear outcome. Noise cancellation is good, meaning I still can hear e.g., my keyboard typing in the background and such noises (…sure it's an omnidirectional mic), but overall, the voice sounds super clear and minor background noise like a radio is mitigated very well.The receiver features a 3.5mm headphone jack which is a fantastic feature I do not want to miss.The receiver has a Mono/Stereo switch and while talking into the mic I switched the setting back and forth to hear the result later in the recording.In MONO mode with just one transmitter or with two transmitters the sound is mixed into both channels equally.In STEREO mode with just one transmitter the sound is recorded to 1 channel only -- Actually, if using just one transmitter, you get just one channel and therefore you need 2 transmitters to record 2 channels (well, that sounds logical for professionals, but I wanted others to be aware of that as well). Stereo mode recording with just one transmitter gives the option to have the other channel available for post-production.With 2 transmitters I can see pretty cool recording scenarios: e.g., in interviews the interviewer and the interviewee can go on one channel each. Or for wedding videography bride and groom get their own transmitter.A 'dead cat' fur windshield can be attached to the transmitter's built-in mic; a foam windshield can be attached to the Lavalier mic. The fur windshield was working very well during very windy conditions I encountered.I couldn't hear a difference in sound quality between the Lavalier mic and the built-in mic -- I preferred the built-in mic transmitter, which comes with an integrated clip that can be attached to the clothing. Only if you need something less visible, I will go for the wired Lavalier mic. When touching the wire of the Lavalier mic it could result in some background noise, however, If the cable can be attached and protected well within the clothing, I don't see a problem with it either.The build quality of the transmitters and the receiver is great. The glossy look is nice, and the OLED display is well to read indoors and in shaded areas but outdoors in sunlight it is difficult-- that's my only criticism.Another note regarding the display: the Muted Mic icon is visually a little bit hard to differentiate from 'Not muted Mic' because it is so small.The system definitely makes a professional impression, offers a clear sound quality, and features like mono/stereo switch and a headphone 3.5mm jack on the receiver convinced me.I would recommend this product to friends and colleagues.

Just plug the receiver end into your iPhone or iPad that uses the lightning port, turn on the transmitter, it will automatically pair with the receiver and you are ready to start using it. The included instructions are easy to follow as well.The Good: The quality of this product is very good. It looks and feels like a professional tool. The audio quality was a noticeable improvement over the iPhone 13 mini. I felt it was a cleaner and fuller sound. The setup is so simple. You don’t have to pair with Bluetooth or download an app. Just plug it in and you are good to go. The OLED screen is nice and bright and can be adjust to stay on all the time, or turn off after 60/30/10 second intervals. The gain adjustments are also easy to set. You get 7 total settings from 0 to 6. You can also adjust the language setting, but you only get English or Chinese as your options. Battery life seems like it will last entire work day of you are creating content for about 6 hours straight. Lastly, this comes with a 2 year warranty as long as you register it. Overall, this system is super easy to use and I would recommend this to anyone.The Bad: for the price, I would think they could include the wireless charging case instead of the neoprene one included. The transmitter has the pins on the back to be compatible, so I think for what you get, this should be around $100 mark.

This wireless lapel microphone kit from BOYA is actually surprisingly good. Whether you use the built-in microphone in the transmitter, or plug in the external lavalier microphone to clip on your shirt, the audio quality is crisp and clear. I was honestly surprised at how clear it was, as I wasn’t able to tell a difference from the condenser microphone I tried for comparison. For my use, I run the Lavalier microphone up my shirt and clip it on the inside, and even right there it picks up my voice amazingly. Using it outside, even on a windy day it does a great job at not picking up all the wind noise. The range is really good, however it does have a tendency to cut out if you move around too much and your body gets between the transmitter and receiver, even when close to the receiver. The OLED display is very nice, true OLED. Whether it’s on or off, it’s solid black. I like how you’re able to see and adjust the gain on the fly on both the transmitter and receiver. The receiver does have a headphone jack so you can live listen and adjust as needed on the fly. Both the transmitter and receiver are very small and fit in the palm of my hand. You’re able to use it with DSLRs, computers, tablets, and even smartphones. Keep in mind if you don’t have a 3.5mm jack on your phone, you will need a dongle to plug it in. The audio quality is great and definitely an improvement over the built-in audio on your smartphone or camera, especially at a distance. The only thing I would change, is it should include a carrying/charging case instead of just a drawstring bag. But at least they charge with USB-C! All in all, I can definitely recommend this microphone kit if you want to improve your audio quality and want something small and easy to carry around.

Our video compares the wireless mics (both with the built-in mic and an included lav mic) with a phone mic, respectively in the first couple of minutes then in the rest. Overall, this set seems great.I didn't adjust the gain at all and my assistant/model using the built-in mic is on the louder side, so I did get some clipping. I can't blame that on the mic, but on my lack of monitoring her before the video. I don't plan to use the built-in mic in the future unless I have to. No need, since two lav mics are included with the two-transmitter set.You can roughly monitor the levels with the displays on the transmitters and receivers. That might actually be enough for most purposes, so you don't have to take headphones with you when you're on the go.The noise floor is there, but acceptable. It's not at a level non-audio people would notice, and it's low enough that it doesn't bother me for the purpose.I was surprised during playback that the audio didn't cut out when the receiver went around the corner of our house. My more expensive set cut out right away when I lost line of sight. I don't have multiple test cases to verify anything about the reliability of this passthrough signal persistence, but it gives me confidence that small objects can pass between transmitter and receiver without a problem.I balanced my mobile gimbal exceptionally well this time. Often, it whirrs and you could hear that if using the phone's mic. Using the wireless system avoids that (as well as allowing you to keep picking up great, level audio from a subject at varying distances from the camera).Details I don't think are in the video:• Easy, automatic pairing with preferred default settings• Headphone port for live (and non-live) monitoring• Relatively small and lightweight• Receiver and mic sets have clips that can either fit in a hot/cold shoe or clamp onto a mobile phone (good if you're using a mobile gimbal without a cold shoe)I'm happy with this set.

Excelente micrófono, la calidad superó mis expectativas

Necesitaba una opción polivalente. Que me permita micro interno, externo, pero también entrada de línea, por si necesito sacar audio de una meza de mezclas. Tampoco estaba dispuesto a gastar varios cientos de euros.
Así que este es perfecto.

Sería mejorable que tuviese el dock de carga, pero obviamente, esto lo consigues con el kit completo, que trae dos emisores y un receptor. Pero prefiero, como hice, comprar dos kits por menos dineto que comprando uno doble.

Esto es así porque de esta forma sigo teniendo dos micros, o un micro y una grabación de línea en otra cámara. Más opciones.

Intenté probar a ver si podía sincronizar los dos emisores con un solo receptor, pero por ahora no insistí demasiado.

Tambien positivo el clik para enganchar en la camisa. O en el bosillo si usas el micro externo que trae el kit. Tengo otro de la misma marca pero más pequeño, que trae un click como el de los bolígrafos y es horrible para engancharlo. Sin embargo ese sí trae la caja de carga, y es lo que echo en falta en este, sería mejor opción que la bolsa con todo suelto.

Lo usé en un evento grande. Toda la mañana grabando y la batería aguanta. El sonido es muy bueno, alto y claro. Había mucho ruido de gente en la sala donde lo usé y aún así logré aisalar el audio del entrevistado. El kit trae un quitavientos, pero en esta ocasión no lo use al ser en interior. Haré pruebas fuera, o usando el lavalier para ver si es más direccional.

Total, excelente compra a un precio razonable y con entrada de línea.
Sobre esto solo me plantearía algo más completo si tuviese grabación interna o 24bits

Dentro de las referencias de micrófonos para realizar trabajos, proyectos y entrevistas, han sido de gran ayuda, capturan muy bien el sonido, la distancia entre el transmisor y el receptor es excelente. La posibilidad de que los transmisores tengan imán, me han servido para colocarlos en las parrillas metálicas de los parlantes, y poder monitorear el sonido es de lo mejor, además de poder modificar el volumen de transmisores y receptor. Los recomiento.

These work very well in picking up sound and the microphone Fuzz covers work well at dampening as well . The operation is a little difficult with the buttons but usable . Charging seems to work well also.

It is easy to use. Spans a great distance with barely any drop outs. USB chargeable.
I bought this over a year ago on our Church account. It is 65 feet from the platform to the video station. In house, we do not have ANY audio drop outs!
I use both transmit units; one on the Pastor as a Lav mic and the other for congregational comments. In post production, I separate the audio into two channels. This allows me to boost the congregational comments or reduce them as appropriate.

Works like a charm. If you are into video at all, just think of all the ways to capture primary audio and secondary audio for editing. It is great for weddings, conferences, parties, or meetings. You won't be sorry.

UNLESS you tap the power-on/mute button twice. That happened last night. I asked the pastor if he was blue, he said yes. Blue lights indicate the units are working. However, the mic icon displays a slash across the mic on screen if the transmitter is Muted. I did not check THAT. Lesson Learned.

Es un buen producto y cumplidor. No son los mejores del mercado sin embargo cumplen muy bien su funcion por su costo, cualquier creador puede usarlos sin problema, si buscas resultados mas profesionales puedes editar el audio en algun programa para mejorar. En general estoy satisfecho.

Works well with iPhone 15 Pro Max (USB C receiver), range is good for filming (20m no problem, didn't bother testing further away). Recommend.
