I didn’t expect it to be that kind of a game changer ! �?I record some content for my YouTube channel, the iPhone 12 mini captures the sound wonderfully well, but not as precisely and clearly as the BOYA M1 Pro II, which eliminates, discriminates echoes or all possible back sounds to the max, leaving a clean focus on your voice that sounds closer, and cleaner. I purchased this back in 2019 because I was continuing to do more and more on-location reporting. I combined this with the H1 handy Zoom recorder. I continue to be impressed by the audio quality as it does a great job picking up just your vocals in a loud area as it makes that background noise barely noticeable. When it’s time for me to clean up and enhance the audio in a program like Adobe Audition, I don’t have to do that much work. Very solid mic quality out the gate. I also appreciate the length of the cord. The pictures I’ve attached do not do it justice but this cord goes about 20 feet. So you can connect yourself directly to whatever you’re recording and move around at the same time without feeling restricted. I appreciate the clip on for the mic and the clip-on that’s on the actual device although I usually like to leave it in my pocket. I’ve used it a few times each year since 2019 and the battery that comes with it still works to this day. Pro-tip: As you can see in the photo the switch has to be down. When you have it this way the device is off. If you ever see this switch up towards cameras and you see green exposed underneath, your device is on. The battery will drain even if you aren’t connected to anything. Always make sure your device is off when inoperable. In a day and age where a lot of low budget Bluetooth mic devices have connectivity issues, wired mics like this are awesome. I also recommend using this with a Rode SC4 so you can truly tap and enhance the sound from this microphone while also investing in a Type C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter for you iPad and phone users out there. The Boya USB Lab BY-LM40 comes in a branded box with a cinch sack, long wires and some Boya stickers. The Mac Mini instantly recognized the microphone and was ready to go. Attached is a video of a file recorded with the mic attached to my lapel. The audio quality is better than using a microphone positioned further away, however compared to a professional lavalier it is quite "Tubby" and does not sound natural to my ears. This is an unfair comparison because a professional mic costs eight times the amount. At this price point this Lavalier is a good value.

This is a nice cheap microphone, but it only works properly if you connect it to an input/output jack (those that accept a headset). If your input and output jacks are separeted, you'll need an adapter; a splitter like the one in the photo.

I plugged this lavalier mic into my computer and started a YouTube Channel. The Lavalier Mic delivers high-quality sound at a very low price. Thanks a ton.

I did a video, mumbling the Pokémon song, the words I am saying is intentionally not clear but as you heard in the video the audio quality sounds like i am talking directly into the phone . But I left the phone on my bed and went outside the room and leave just enough space at the door for the microphone cable to come through. It works and I am impressed.

For the longest time i have been recording video from my Samsung Android phone and have noticed that if you really want to capture your audio you need this Boya By-M1! If your wanting to start your youtube channel and is needing that one product that could help you get heard this is the product for you! I love how you are able to use this mic on any smart phone and computer! I totally recommend this Boya mic. Where ever my phone goes my Boya M1 goes with it.

I had been looking for a small mic that would be mac compatible I wanted something good so I purchased SmartLav for $85! Not worth it it feels cheap and the cord is very short plus it disnt work with my Mac I tried purchasing a splitter. Then I found the Boya lavalier mic!! It worked great out of the box and sounds great! It is easy to put together and the cord is very long, doesn't feel flimsy or cheap it is very good quality and sounds great when making YouTube videos which is why I purchased it, works with my Mac, iPhone and iPad and God knows what else.It is a great microphone and the price is right for $20 you can't go wrong it is better then all those expensive mic's out there.

Way better than expected for the price! Not only is the sound quality superb, but it's also amazing quality. Comes with metal battery pack that switches between camera and smartphone, one battery, pop filter, 20 feet cord, extended adapter jack, velcro strap and clip on microphone and battery pack. You really get a bang for you buck. For $20, no one can complain. It's great for interviews AND informative speaking. I personally think it sounds better without the pop filter but it's great to have it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants acceptable audio quality. Also the 20 feet cord seems way longer than it is which is always a good thing!

Shipping was on time. Packaging was nice but no real instructions on how to set up and work properly. I haven't figured out how to use it with my new Webcam on my laptop... for some reason it only let me record using my Webcam audio and not the mic but hopefully I figure it out this weekend and update my review. It seems very heavy duty and it comes with a battery.

Great product. Sounds great. For the price, you really cannot beat what this product offers you for audio. The length allows you to go have a lot of flexibility in how you use it. The reason I give it 4 stars is that it does take sometime to learn how to use it. Make sure to read the directions. Once you learn it, it becomes so easy to use and you will not regret this purchase.

Easy, light, versitile, from kalimba to overtone flute to didge (how I found it looking up didge worship). Liked it so much I got another one.
My music style (amateur) is spontaneous improvisation using sounds/tempo as emotional articulation. This little mic emboldens my singing/emotionalizing/praying “in the spirit”.
